The idea behind Naked Ambition was originally conjured up around the mid-90’s, inspired by surf brands that dominated the market. Whilst the passion remained, life did get in the way (as it does). Finding the right team of people was the final piece of the puzzle and in 2017 the dream of Naked Ambition finally began to take shape.
We want our products to hold emotional value as well as practical. Everything we create is in line with our values: passion, authenticity and fun. We would love to inspire you to follow your dreams whilst not taking life too seriously.
Our very first indoor/outdoor neoprene cushion encapsulates our mission better than we could have hoped. The squishy bundle of joy you can hug to your heart’s content yet throw around without a care in the world. Get it wet, get it muddy and get on with your life. Along the way, our own personal self-made hula hoops began to trigger people’s curiosity.
We love to get out and about, explore secret coves, secluded beaches, sea caves, waterfalls, and of course the magical woodlands and moors of the South West. Our hoops always come along with us!
It’s been interesting the number of conversations we’ve had with the people we’ve run into and how similar their comments have been.
“I would love to hula hoop, but I’ve never been able to” or “Could do it as a child but haven’t tried since”
Every single person that was willing to give it a go on the day succeeded! The huge smile on their faces said it all!
This led us creating a range of Naked Ambition Adult Beginners hula hoops, to provide the opportunity for as many people as possible to just go for it!
We have found hooping to be a fabulous low impact exercise for mind body and soul, but to the complete beginner, hooping can be confusing!
There are dance hoops that take a lot of practice and the range of tricks possible is almost endless…
There are heavy ‘exercise hoops’ that can be a shock to the system when you are trying to hoop for the first time…
Our hoops are aimed at getting people successfully hooping as soon as possible! This is why you will find our range to be slightly larger and slightly heavier than most generic hula hoops sold.
From our experience, we have found our hoops to be ‘as tough as old boots’. They take anything that is thrown at them, and they are just as much fun for beginners and experienced hoopers alike!
As mentioned before, many people believe they cannot hoop, a few minutes later they have proved themself wrong…. So what else are we telling ourselves we cannot do?
Ultimately, the dream of our brand is to encourage people to find their dreams… to find their passions… and just go for it!
